Juanita Vanoy is a former executive secretary for the American Bar Association and a former model. In 2000, the Michael and Juanita Jordan Endowment Fund had Juanita as the co-founder and Chairman. By April 2006, she became involved in real estate. In 1984, Michael first met Juanita on a blind date. On 31st December 1987, Michael proposed to her in Chicago. Their marriage took place in September 1989. On the date of wedding, Michael was 26 years of age and Juanita was 30. Further, they had 3 children as follows.
One and half year after the wedding, the couple signed a post-nuptial agreement. On 4th January 2002, the couple filed for divorce and quoted irreconcilable differences between them. Soon after this announcement, they were successful in reconciliation. From February 2006, they lived separate and apart. On 29th December 2006, they were granted a final Decree of Dissolution. On public record, the divorce settlement of 168 USD was the largest celebrity divorce settlement in history (when it took place). Michael and Juanita has signed a prenuptial agreement as per which she would be eligible for 50 percent of Michael's fortune. However, the divorce settlement was only one third of his wealth. This settlement surpassed the amounts paid by Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg and Neil Diamond in their personal divorce settlements. Extra marital affairs of Michael Jordan It is alleged that Michael Jordan had a secret relation with Karla Knafel. He had paid her 0.25 million USD and in return she maintained the secrecy of their relation. As a matter of fact, Michael had promised her 5 million USD so that she would remain silent about their relationship and not file a paternity suit regarding her pregnancy in 1991. A DNA test was conducted and this proved that Michael was not the father of Knafel's child. Consequently, on 21st July 2006, an Illinois Judge in Cook County declared that Michael did not owe Karla 5 million USD.
